Childhood Wishes

Simple, good honest, bright childhood. I like the bright colors and smiley face, and the tilted candle flame keeps the eye moving in a circle, which emphasizes the ice cream bar.

When I was on one of these, I usually hung somewhat askew. I wonder if a purposefully off-kilter framing would add a sense of a child's point-of-view.

Good, but I wonder if a different angle might have emphasized the dramatic height.

Absolutely gorgeous colors. I like the basketball hoop, because it defines the setting (more so than merely the other structure, which could be a porch, verandah, etc., but is probably a jungle gym). Somehow, though, I'd like to see the hoop at a different angle. It "argues" with the tree just a bit.

I like it, but I'd like it better without the blue cast.

Beautiful sky, very nice colors in the streamers, and the classic home made kite-thing we've all seen. This definitely meets the challenge. I love the yarn!

I love it: the yellow paint, the scratched out "boys." Excellent! This captures the energy of the age group.

The low angle is evocative of childhood, besides the choice of subject matter. I like the repetition of color between the and the flowers, and the one red jack balances the ball's focal point.
