Dressed for Autumnby JariComment: Background's a little oversaturated to be reminiscent of autumn, but the angle is fabulous and your focus turned out beautifully. An easy vote for me. |

Through the Rain by librodoComment: Her left eyeball (HER left) is obscured by a water droplet. It makes an otherwise tranquil image ring of cyborgs and darker things. Otherwise, it looks very good. Her elbow might want more room in the frame, but I'd have to see to know. In all, I'm getting an effect from the softness, and that was the idea, so I'll take it! :) |

I Love Youby sherpetComment: This looks more out of focus than softly focused. Good arrangement of subjects, and a silly but pleasing little addition that the frame has soft edges too. |

Dreamsby KliopatraComment: Definitely soft. Wow. Maybe even overdoing it. But I do think this epitomizes the challenge, and the setup is very nice. |

Eternal sunshine - no fade fabricby sunnyazComment: Great focal work. Coloring seems a bit off, overly yellow. Actually, it seems as though it can't decide whether it wants to be bright or subdued... trapped in the middle somewhere. |

Soft Gazeby happyllamaComment: With just one of these statues, there would be a more distinguished effect, but with two, I can't get much of an interpretation out of it. Lighting turned out nicely, but I'd soften the focus to get a dreamlike look in this case. |

Inspiration Of A New Dayby ZeppKashComment: A bit too sharp on the leaves for me, especially compared to the right half of the photo, which is quite nice and soft. On the other hand, you captured the separate rays beautifully and completely without lens flare! I'd say it communicates something, all right. |

verbenaby dragonladyComment: There's a tiny clip of another petal in the upper left corner that's nagging at me. Couple of hot pixels in the middle as well, but with Basic, hey, what can you do? Nicely done, and true to the challenge. |

Smile and a Glanceby PaddyComment: Very nicely softened. The blurring works well on the splashes. Overall it's very blue, though, and the froth looks pinkish. Still, a neat shot. |

Petalsby JeniYComment: I keep coming back to this photo. I just love it. It's not your basic humdrum floral photography... it's awesome. Probably the lighting that does it for me. And it also helps the softness, since the image is overall fairly in focus. The feel is still there.
Nice, simple border works well. Wouldn't change this in the slightest. |
