Mt Taranakiby madnzComment: Thank you to everyone for leaving such great comments. I've only submitted a few photos before this and really am a complete beginner. This photo was taken, 'doing a dp cardinal sin' and using the digital zoom on my camera, which is why it's not the crisp photo it could be. I found it much easier to get the right composition this way.
I was excited when I saw the triangular composition because it's a perfect catagory for Mt Taranaki photos. It had been very cold and snowing up the mountain till the morning this was taken. The clouds soon grew and again covered us in cold miserable weather, so I was lucky to get this shot when I did.
I take lots of photos, of the mountain, because I only have to venture to the deck to take them and it's such a beautiful scenery. I haven't yet taken a photo that I'm completely satisfied with (does that ever happen - lol), but when I do I'm going to print it to canvas for the wall in the lounge.
Thanks again

Butterflyby ddphillComment: This would have been better submitted in the triangular composition. There is no sun in the frame. |

'Rath'by kenobiComment: The colour is so strong in this picture that it looks like a painting rather than a real picture. |
