| 08/24/2007 06:56:30 PM | Speedby LaReeComment: LaRee, very nice capture. Others mention the colors, the shutterspeed and the background. You cannot control the background all the time. It looks fine, but maybe cropping a wee bit off the top would make it better.
I can tell there is speed involved due to the spray of the water from behind the ski. I am amazed people actually voted this low (2 and 3).
Very good. |

| 08/21/2007 10:01:31 PM | Welcome to Portland, Oregon!by jsundinComment: A clean sweep on this one. A vote from each of the point totals! And, from the voting period, it seemed lilke I really ticked off Nikon users more than anything. 5 out of 6 were Nikon shooters.
I really just grabbe this photo from a collection I shot from a parking garage downtown. It doesn't contain anything of major importance, with the possible exception of Union Station, the train station and the bridge is pretty cool. Otherwise, what you see is the Northwest section of Portland, with construction, old buildings, new areas - basicly a city in change. But, hardly a postcard.

| 08/14/2007 09:34:45 PM | Electronic Footballby jsundinComment: I originally thought of trying to plug the controller into the football and show the cord attached. Then, I played with taking shots at ground level with the football. And, in the end, I decided on this one to try to make it look like they are one unit. Two kids toys, one physical and one electronic, combined into one unit.
I did darken it a little to put less emphasis on my dead grass in the shot. I was laying on the ground to get this also, but there are no points given for awkward positioning in taking photos here. Either way, I think the show did as well as expected. |
