Thanks for all the comments and tips everyone. I don't live close enough to the barn to watch for owls and it's not on my regular daily commute. I think I may go back and shoot from the back of the barn and take some rain pants. Everything is so wet around these parts... I wanted to get lower but didn't want to be a muddy mess either. :)
