Floating Leaves

I think I screwed up in the final scaling and jpeg output of this photo such that both the color and the sharpness were altered from the original. In the original, there was a trick of the light that caused the clump of leaves, which would otherwise be utterly uninspiring, to look as though they were floating in the air. Somehow, it was lost in post-processing. Chalk it up to experience.

Highlights a little blown out on top of neck. Try shooting 1 stop down next time. Eye also seems a bit soft. Otherwise, nice grab!

Wish you could have been a little closer to the action, maybe with a longer lens. Would have accentuated the foreground, middle and background feel to it.

I'm a bird photographer and I'm in this challenge. All I can say is WTF????!?!?!!!! I love it! I want to buy it!!! You can't make up stuff like this.

Seems like sharpening mask was set too high for my taste. Also, would have been nicer with some eye shine. Something about the color seems artificial -- perhaps an artifact of the sharpening used.

I think I like the other one a tad better. Somewhere in between would be best. The other one is lighter feeling (and looking).
