medicine breakthroughs today for a healthy tomorrowby rodgers_leComment: I love the idea of this one. Very stock photo like. I think it might be better though if the pills were more random rather than lined up. I do see why you did it (mimicking the shape of the DNA helix) but imho this would be stronger if the pills were more randomly placed. Also with such a shallow dof it is difficult to know where to get the good focus point. Where you have the most focus is near the center with the pills going away but in this particular shot and angle I think the two pills in the left front should have the most focus. they are more prominent and draw my eye already except they are not in focus. Another way that could be fixed is to use a slightly larger dof.
Overall I think this is a wonderful photo and idea for this challenge. Initially it was my thought that it would be on the front page until noticed dof/focus point wasn't quite right. Not voting but if I were I'd give it a 7 overall. |

Summer!by PhileineComment: I think more dof would have made this better but I love the simplicity of it and the angle makes it interesting. (not voting) |

I Love the Fruit of Knowledgeby bobkComment: Would have been better to have the book be the bible (open to Genesis) and turned so it isn't upside down to the reader. The shadow on the left and right are distracting. Overall I think this is a wonderful idea. I've seen a ring make the heart but never an apple. (not voting). |

She wears seashells by the seashore by MacDonaldComment: I certainly thought it would be higher in the scale (lol).... but I do see the points made and maybe that blue green might have been a better color. Cnovak makes some good points. It's still my favorite of the mermaids though. |
