Very awesome! I love it when someone meets the challenge by being outside of the box. Well thought out and well composed, lit, and photographed. 10

I like the composition and this looks very good. The lighting may be a little too high key but it could be the monitors I'm using to view it.

Looks yummy!! Well photographed. The lighting on the rice is perfect. But the trade off I think is that the yellow topping (lemon I assume) is a little to harshly lit. Maybe some directed diffusion would have helped with that. Very nicely done though.

A different composition and maybe some bananas in the shot would have made this one better imho. Even if the banana's were in the background with a shallow dof.

I think I would have used a larger dof for this. And maybe tone down the yellows a tiny bit. Nicely laid out and composed.

Nicely done. The lighting, composition, color, contrast, key, and content are all spot on imho. Looks like 3 lights maybe? My only little nitpick is the spots on the plate. I don't know if it's part of the tuna or some spices or if it's intentional for presentation but for me it's a bit distracting.

A little on the dark side for the photo content. You may want to check your monitor calibration. I'm viewing on two different monitors, neither of which is calibrated, but I know the main one I'm using is set a little too bright and your photo is still a little too dark on that one. So if someone is viewing on one that isn't calibrated and on the dark side your photo is going to be pretty dark. I like the idea of this though. Maybe a little extra light behind the subject(s) to the right side of the camera view.

Cute. I like the softness of the photograph but I think if the turtle were processed on a different layer with a little more contrast or added blacks it would stand out more. I can show you what I mean after the challenge is over if you'd like. (just pm me)

The lighting is a tiny bit harsh but it looks good. And might I say..."ouch". Is that butt branded beer?
