Black Berry Smoothieby SnopawComment: I like the lighting on the drink and the cup but not so much on the berry's. There are some berry colored spots in the black of the background. I don't know if they are editing remnants or sensor dust or something else but they are just slightly distracting. Not too bad though since at least they are in the same color as the drink. |

Seafood Paella by ekmaiComment: Excellent use of dof. The entire featured dish is in the focus field while the rest of the scene set up is out of the focus field yet still discernable for the scene. |

Super-Moist Banana Bread (Still Baking)by essayComment: Beautiful. I can smell it baking. I like the shallow dof in this one and the lighting. I can also feel the oven heat. lol Mail me some?? Just kidding (it's probably all eaten up by now anyway) |

Oven-Crisped Bread with Tomato and Fresh Basilby DomDComment: Oh I love that stuff. Yum. Some diffusion on the lighting would have made this better. Otherwise nicely done. I debated on whether the plate worked or not but, decided it worked just fine. I even like the little bread crumbs on the plate. |

Poppy Seed Muffinsby sjhulsComment: This might have looked better in color I think. As long as the right temperature lighting was used. Nice composition and I like the shallow dof usage here. |

Chocolate Covered Strawberries by MaggyeComment: The light on the right needs to be diffused where it hits the berries. The lighting on the strawberry on the left is much more attractive. The difficulty with this might be not enough light on the white cup but if you were to block the light being used on the right so that it hits mostly just the cup and then add a more diffused light or bounce some light back in on the berries on the right it just migh work. it looks very yummy though. |
