End of a Revolutionby mariomelComment: Gorgeous colours, lovely reflection. However, it looks like your horizon is rotated. Maybe that's just an illusion, but it's not enough to mark you down much. 7. |

Glowing Abstractby crisComment: Hi Chris, greets from the Critique Club.
Technically, I think this shot is well done. I don't mind the over exposure so much, but what I don't like is the shot feels... static. Perhaps zooming in and cropping off the sides or rotating the object might help.
I think what I like about the picture is tonality and the texture of the vase. I'm not sure this deserves less than a 5, but, alas.. welcome to DPChallenge.
Best of luck in future challenges!
Matt

Confusion in Directionby unknowndeathComment: Greets from the Critique Club:
Not sure what to say about this. It obviously doesn't meet the challenge, and you've stated it plainly in your comments. This probably would have done really well in the Chaos challenge.
Technically I'm not sure how to critique it. There isn't a main focus to the shot and the composition appears almost random. I'm sure there is method to your madness, but I can't find it. There is a lack of depth, a lack of focus, and not much interesting other than the texture.
If I had voted this would have received a low score from me. Maybe you should think about whatever point you were trying to make with this shot. |

Forever Love was the last thing I was looking for...by KaveyComment: Nice macro. Maybe not the first thing that pops into my mind when I think serendipity, but that's a hard thing to get a photograph of, so you get the benefit of the doubt. I like the lighting and the setup. The only thing that really (and I mean really) disturbs me is that the photograph appears to be neatimaged to death. By that I mean there isn't enough detail and texture left in the rings. This is particularly noticible in the sparkles on the right of the top ring, and almost everywhere in the shiney bands. If my vote were to count. it'd be about a 6 |

Rorschachby mbardeenComment: Thanks Wendy..
It's a bunch of grass in the middle of a small pond, rotated counter clockwise. The reflection on the right is from the water. It was a bit windy that night, which is why the reflection isn't perfect and why the tops of the grass (on the left) are blurred.
I understand how people say they'd like it better the original way, but once I saw it this way, I just couldn't put it back. Message edited by author 2004-04-08 17:07:10. |

Strike!by TSaylorsComment: Great idea! I love the action and feel of this shot. I would suggest straightening the horizon and cropping some off the top to enhance the composition. |

Phloxby fisheyeComment: A riot of colour! Nice diagonal formed by the flowers, but still feels like somethings missing. Drama maybe? |

Cape Falconby MickComment: Without those people this should wouldn't be nearly as good. The people provide a focal point and I like how the tree branch points right at them. Love those blues too! |
