This is a great photo for the scrapbook. Nice highlights and the slight tilt of the head is a nice accent. The only thing this is just a little (very little) bit distracting is the extra material that arises from behind her left shoulder. Excellent photo and one of the few 10's in the challenge. If it's not a top 20 entry in the challenge, I'll be surprised.

The hat itself is beautiful as is the leai (sp) beneath it. There is so much going on in the background though with the bright lights, various leaves, additional flowers and such that the hat and all of it's great detail starts to get lost in the photo.

Since the first soldier is cropped, I might suggest doing the same crop to the solider on the right which would frame the middle soldier well. Right now the photo feels a little unbalanced to me with most of the dark greens being on the left half of the shot. Score: 5.

I think the crop on this photo takes out half of the primary subject matter and thus takes something away from the photo. The greyish background makes the photo come off a bit flat. Score: 4.

Seriously, my brother's hair was like that for about 3 years as a child. Grandparents used to slather his head with Vaseline (petroleum jelly) to get it to stay down. Shots like this are always fun to look back on.
