Liquid Lightby nutzitoComment: Why would anyone challenge the position of the lights with the hand as backlit as it is? The light nicely outlines the curves of the fingertips. This is a great shot, no matter what other effect you were going for... the effect you have achieved really works for me. Great job. |

Nature's Paletteby NeilComment: This is one hell of a photograph. I sat staring at it mindlessly for the past 10 minutes just studying the detail. I am in love with this shot for sure. |

***by agenkinComment: Hey now! I did not mean to offend. As I said, you have some very nice work in your collection, and I gave you some honest feedback about one of your shots. If I am not mistaken that is the purpose of this site.
I am sorry for the misunderstanding. After reviewing the examples you have provided, I conceed. This is a fine photograph that now has 10 comments to prove it! LOL
Again, keep up the good work! |

***by agenkinComment: Well, if the "masters" can make it work for them, then that's great! It does not IMHO work here. Could you maybe refer me to one of these masterfully done photographs where a distracting sliver of the photographer's shadow was left in? Maybe if I were exposed to a few more examples of the specialized art of distracting shadow photography... then I might be able to understand the genius behind this photograph. As is, to me it looks like the camera fired off when it wasn't supposed to. The subject is blurred, the background is IMHO uninteresting but in focus, AND I see the shadow of the photographer doing nothing to improve this image.
In answer to your question, that is why :)
I do feel you have some great shots in your collection though, keep up the good work. |

***by agenkinComment: Maybe then it should be left to the masters. Just a thought. |

***by agenkinComment: You might try cropping out your leg and elbow shadow, unless... that is the subject of this picture? Not too sure. |
