About timeby CorySmithComment: There are no words sufficient enough to describe the emotions, thoughts, dreams and physical efforts of a "Marine Mom" who lived and survived the first 20 years of her own personal "Bootcamp" on your behalf.
Along with a great sense of personal relief, it is indeed an honorable privilege to observe your transformation from childhood to adulthood via the Corps.
I know, because I have experienced the opportunity of living with and observing your very own "Marine Mom".
Thanks Cory, for all you have taught us!

My Father.by svarttrastComment: When I was young, I use to wonder when I saw pics like this, "What is he thinking?"
And now, I think I know.
There is a richness that only comes from living life. |

stairsby bucketComment: This is precious, the lighting, the moment captured. How fragile life is and as humans at all ages, we tenatively explore our environment.
This photo shows just how rich a black and white can be. |

Old Manby gsalComment: Love the shot. Because of the texture/interest of the shoes, I would love to see the feet/footwear included in the frame and not cropped out. It is part of what makes him "a pic worth taking"
Would love to see this shot with you stepping a couple of steps to your right. So that the vertical pole is just to his right leaving only the horizontal poles crossing your subject. The hands are/"may be" an intricate part of the story, and unfortunately, are partially hidden.
Shadows and lighting work to highlight your subject. |

PICT1548.JPGby cryingdragonComment: Having a son in the Marines, I am thankful for every moment, every day spent training, practicing in every possible senario that they may face.
Personally, I think it is a shame that each and every one of us citizens does not take refresher courses, on a periodic basis, like CPR, defensive driving, natural disaster preparedness, and yes the list can be long.
As for the photo, it is in focus, very sharp, conveys the subject in a tasteful and educational fashion. May not be the right technical terms as used by those with more photo savy than I. But I like it! |
