Well, it's not a picture of "nothing"...what kind of comment is that?

Anyway, I don't like this picture either, I had submitted late one night, and then decided I had a much better one, but for some reason forgot to make the change. Not surprised at this low score at all....I like to use graininess and I love black and white, but this, I know. Blech.

Thanks for the comments. The noisiness was on purpose. And the funny thing is, I did consider composition quite a bit in this picture. No biggie...I think everyone just has a different eye. I, for example, am turned off by all of what I see as overprocessing in the other direction on this board, all the extreme colors and intensity. I'm just more attracted to the strange, the experimental, the grainy, and even the understated. As poorly as this did in the challenge, it is my number three shot so far...LOL...proof of how unpopular my work is on this board! No problem...I'm going to keep on forcing it on everyone anyway! BWAH-HAHAHAHA!
