There are some fascinating patterns on the furnace door. And the yellow heat-trail curving around the top of the ball of glass is highly evocative of the fierce heat inside.

I think there are several photos here, trying to get out. But the whole is less than the sum of the parts, unfortunately. If you had managed to capture just the ball of glass inside the furnace, with that yellow heat flow, you could have had a great shot.

Glass Marbles in the Sky

This is marvelous. Getting such sharp focus on the marbles in the air must've been difficult, I imagine - especially with a fast shutter-speed, wide aperture shot like this. Did you really just throw them in the air?

Getting the whisps of cloud on the right to counterbalance the marbles on the left is great. It looks like it was shot with the sun behind you, to get light on the marbles and stop them appearing silhouetted against the sky; correct?

Nice concept. Great use of colour and reflection. And I think the positioning of the "horizon" behind the balls is just right.

My initial reaction was to think of cropping it more tightly. But on reflection (if you'll excuse the pun) I think not. Maybe just re-crop with the balls slightly further to the right.

Glass on Sky

Nice use of repeating symmetry. Much more effective for having been rotated.

A pleasing contrast between the blue in the glass and that of the sky, too.
