Painted Snakeby sea2cComment: I would've like it more if a bit wider (just enough to get the whole drawing in). Still, I very much like it. |

Unfair...by Gaby_GComment: Wow! Gaby, you're getting better and better. Hope the voters will get better too ;) |

Pixie Queenby xXxscarletxXxComment: Amy, this is sooooooooooooooooooooo unfair. An amazing portrait complemented by superb PP. I guess people were rushing to find the âmagicâ ideas and they forgot to vote the ârealâ pictures. Iâm sad. |

Salemby Gaby_GComment: G, amazing capture. It really fits the challenge in a subtle way. Wish it was a portrait crop to go complement the strong expression. Nevertheless, I love it. |

Outtake 5by JudiComment: Outstanding effort. This is my favorite of the series as I see it to be delivering the most powerful pose-title connection. In a DPC where one could vote only 10 seconds after seeing an entry, this will be a ribbon winner. |

Braking Linesby Gaby_GComment: I didnât have the time to vote for this challenge but this surely isnât a picture to deserve 5 ones and 8 twos. I think itâs quite a great idea. Sometimes itâs really hard for me to understand why people keep voting those sunsets and nice-color-night-shots (sometimes related to a challenge theme only by tile) when there are so many clever pictures to vote for.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the other pics in your Portfolio ⦠nice PS work.

Global Warmingby accadyComment: This is GREAT! Thank you all for taking the time to vote. My 3rd challenge and managed to climb in 5th place. Further more, Iâm so happy for the 30+ comments â the greatest encouragement of all, especially after getting the shot only a few minutes before deadline. As with all my other entries, I barely had enough time to crop, resize and save. Therefore, this 5th place is a good incentive to find more time for photography (including post-processing).
Now, back to earth ;) The way the setup was done, if anybody interested:
- orange background
- base : matte printer paper rest with a circular hole a bit smaller than the globe (enough to keep it ¾ above)
- globe: 1$ glass globe (Dollarama)
- lights: one underneath (flashlight), one lateral (reading flashlight) behind a Coca-Cola glass to throw those âflamesâ at the background
- ice: chopped ice around the globe â not so easy to keep it there at about 28C
