I am sorry to be proven wrong here, I think you should have done a lot better - can't believe my own picture did better than yours! Your picture rocks, especially these vivid colors ...
Keep up the good work, and happy new year! Message edited by author 2007-12-26 02:52:51. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

I will ear my words - congrats on the brown ribbon!
You have a lot of good feedback in the comments, and that's what commenting all about, right? |

Right, you rank about twice as high as me - merry Christmas!
Congrats on your score :-) | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Allow me to show you what kept a personal high for me for a while, from the electricity challenge:
But in a few days, it will move down to second place, as I am looking at a 6.6+ score in Perspective :-)
Originally posted by B74A: One of my best pictures so far is a bit similar to this (electricity challenge). This is executed really well - the empty platform and the clean stripes of the train makes a smooth but dramatic effect. Meets challenge and well done! |

Originally posted by B74A: Nice! First impression: London, but does not look like that. Second impression: Kuala Lumpur - but where are the other buildings, as well as the path between the two towers? So ... I look forward to hear where this is from! 7 |
So it was KL ... I see now the Petronas tower escape route connection bridge is just down in the trees. What is this place called in KL, as I want to go there some day ... | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Originally posted by fastforward: I can't see how this conforms to basic editing with the selective colour changes you've made... |
The reds look a little boosted, but if you look around, you will see red tints all over, so I think it is OK. I would expect it to be asked for validation, though, so Mark, you might as well upload the original (resized) here for the rest of us to see ...
Happy New Year! |

| 12/25/2007 08:45:03 PM | FAST X-MASby B74AComment: With more 9s and 10s than 1s, 2s and 3s together, I am content at hitting close to 6.1 with this shot.
I am holding my camera on the handrail of a travellator or moving sidewalk (I don't know what the proper name is), while passing two christmas trees. The black stripe in the lower left corner is the handrail, and all the lights are obviously ... lights from the christmas trees. Looking at the dots of the light makes me wonder whether this is the vibration of the handrail drive, into the camera, or whether long exposure pictures are actually a mix of a series of exposures? I have seen this before, and had it been with a film camera, I would not have been in doubt it was due to the vibration.
Balloon was picked up from the floor, as an airline obviously had been giving out balloons to their younger passengers.
Thank you for your scores, especially thank you to the person who gave me the 1 score - nice Christmas present! |

I see you did not need good luck, William - way to go! Northern Light and Ocean Shores usually go down well in challenges, and this is no exception. Stunning picture, congratulations with your blue ribbon for a Christmas present ... | Photographer found comment helpful. |
