Conedby AlkomComment: What is my eye supposed to be drawn to? I donĂ¢€™t see how bokeh is used to enhance or complement this shot. Not really an in focus subject. |

The fallen onesby KivetComment: I like the photograph but me it does not use Bokeh to enhance the shot. It seems to have too much depth of field so my eye is not drawn to a single subject. This is a hard challenge because everyone has a different opinion of how bokeh should be used. |

VERY nice shot. For what it's worth I think this is reasonably high contrast. And like melethia, I like the softness of it. However, you should be aware that stopping down to f/25 usually robs sharpness. It may increase DOF, and sometimes you have to do it, but very small apertures run afoul of something called the "circle of confusion": Google it to see discussions. In a nutshell, if you go past f/11 or so (it depends on the focal length of the lens) you begin to get diffraction that obliterates fine detail.

Aerialsby Hawk5000Comment: I shot this in Antibes France. It is my second time entering a challenge. I was several blocks from the focus point so I used my zoom lens at 220mm. I also wanted to use a small aperture f25 to increase the depth of field. With no tripod I probably should have used a larger aperture to get a sharper photo but I like the soft feel of it. Beeby leeroysoupComment: The image is to small to see any detail. I donĂ¢€™t see the bokeh effect, the blur background should have a circular pattern to it. |

Ode to the 80sby LaMerryComment: I donĂ¢€™t see the bokeh effect, the blur background should have refracted light circular patterns to it. |
