Thanks Mpeters and everyone else who liked my image. I thought it was good--a little surprised though at my finish--wasn't expecting this high of a finish--there are truly some amazing pictures out there.

@kemptonreporter--I agree that this was the wrong time of day--but I couldn't do much about it. It seemed to do ok anyway.

With regards to the comment being off balance...for future reference I was wondering what made it off balance--the extra space in front of the boat, or the leaning of the boat.

I was just browsing and hope it's ok if I comment. I love this picture. Great stop action of the water and surfer. The water in the foreground looks unreal--absolutely amazing at the texture. The only thing I'd probably try to change is the color of the water in the foreground if possible.

nice job at creativity. the laser pen creates a nice line for the eye to follow--initially I thought i was looking at metal stairs. nice job at presenting a unique look at the subject.

I like the idea in this photo. I think the pen should be sharper, and the paper should be aligned better. The pen to me is a major element of the photo--but it's a bit frustrating to have it so out of focus in the shot.

hmm...interesting idea. I think there is too much focus on the jewelry and not enough on the stationery. Also the jewelry is lacking good focus--since it's such a large part of the picture I think it should be a bit sharper so it doesn't distract as much.
