'Moon' flowersby MadMan2kComment: Wonderful image. The warm colors combined with the soft horizon line and the delecate outlines of the flowers create a beautiful dream-like environment. I take it the little specks near the moon and to the right in the sky are stars? Took me a little while to realize as I found them distracting at first. I would suggest removing them, or perhaps adding a bunch more to add to the surealness of the image. Definately one of my favorites so far! 8 |

Happy, Confident and Contentby Shy ClickerComment: This is a very nice portrait. So clear and detailed. With the vignetting, it gives the impression that one is looking at the subject through a peephole, which I kind of like because it helps me ignor the tightness of the crop (cutting off the top of head, bottom of beard). |

Eyes on the Roadby jdannelsComment: That is a great action shot... the determined expression on her face is very real. The lighting and colors in the photo are also very well balanced and I like the fact that the natural lighing from the environment is on her back. My favorite detail in the image is the reflection of the handle bars in her sunglasses... nice touch:) |

Sonrisaby polifiloComment: smile:)
My guess is that other commenters have probably mentioned the whole "I don't think a shadow is a silhouette" or something along those lines. Which, the way it was defined in the challenge description as "Silhouettes are created by backlit subjects, which causes them to appear solid and without much, if any detail." But, by the dictionary definition, your shadow of a figure smiling is technically a silhouette... anyway, with that out of the way...
It's a nice image. It certainly conveys a mood. I only wish the lines were really sharp. |

Malt , Grain, Bluesby Ecce_SignumComment: mmm... oban... :)
Nice image, the composition works well though I'd like to see it with a tighter crop on the top to just at the nose of the figure, or have it include his whole head. |

Sunrise Lake Conwayby jonderComment: Beautiful colors! The light area created by the jet contrails and it's coresponding reflection in the water make this photo particularly interest. My only improvement suggestion would be to rotate the whole thing clockwise to straighten out the horizon line. 8 |

Soltitude is Blissby geetapuriComment: I like the firey cloud. Would suggest rotating the image clockwise to even out the horizon line (based on the top edge fo the lake). Maybe also play with the levels a bit... bring down the mid range to get a bit more detail out of the water area but still maintaining the dark black. |

Reflexoby HefestosComment: not seeing the silhouette... aside from that, is a nice composition. I would suggest a levels adjustment to make the sky not as dark and to pop the colors a bit and also tighten the crop on the bottom to remove the sliver of building in the bottom left. |
