Either Endsby IAmEliKatzComment: I love it, I just wish the people were a bit more in focus with a shallower DOF. I like the idea, the composition, the opposing lines - there's a lot to love about this. |

lock // keyby mefnjComment: To me, this type of thing is boring, but I think about it as stock photography or something like that where the photo has a purpose. Great idea and well executed. |

a frendlyby herfotomanComment: The strong threshold B&W is not my thing, but I can appreciate it here - I just have to look a bit longer... :) |

yin yangby SistoComment: Nice! The pencil on the left could be straight and more centered, but great idea. |

Twin Bubblesby smurfguyComment: I like this and the idea, so I'd like to try give some advice (maybe by writing my thoughts I can learn something). I think the original's background and lighting are the first major difference. Also the perspective. So experiment with that. The lighting on yours is quite harsh, so the reflections are quite hot when bumping the contrast. I think (don't know) that soft light from a diffused source works here - also the BG needs to be well lit.
Then, for post, you can increase the contrast and correct the colours. I think if you've set up light properly, post is easy. I've found that using duplicates of the image with different blending modes give nice contrasts.
I'd love to have time to experiment with bubbles like this because I think I might be able to learn a lot in the process. |
