the clientby mrbig65Comment: I love how this defines the shopper. The only thing I don't like is the heavy sharpening. Still a high vote from me. |

Zuma expressby herfotomanComment: Can't believe people still vote for this guy, let alone wear a picture of his face on their shirts! I honestly would only have a picture of this thief in my house if it was printed on my toilet paper. |

The Empty and the Nakedby surmelismComment: I sort of get the idea. The focus could have been sharper (in my taste), and the on-camera flash is not flattering at all - the shadow under the chin hides the true shape of the subject. I believe a more effective B&W conversion could have made this stand out more. The pose is nice and the short focal length is unconventional (but specific and intentional, which is good). |

Old Man of The Seaby rygar777Comment: I'm not sure if some editing was done to get the face or if the face is coincidental. It does look edited to me. That aside, if the subject is the wave, then I suppose the rocks explain a lot. |

your future's in the bagby sidpixelComment: This certainly is an interesting take on the challenge. It seems too much of a stretch for me. For me, a portrait needs a clear subject (and for environmental, the subject needs to be defined by the environment). For example, if this was on a hiking trail, then the hiking boots would define the front pair of legs as the subject and be the subject's defining feature.
Still, this is an interesting angle and an interesting piece of art. Not too much appealing to me (I wouldn't put this up on my wall), but interesting. |

Sunrise at the damby gminkComment: For me, nothing is properly in focus. Also, there is no clear subject (as I would expect in a portrait). I thus can't find how this relates to the challenge. The photo itself also does not appeal to me greatly (although an interesting scene), mostly due the photographic quality (which I expect from a photo in this style). |

The Ophthalmologist by Bear_MusicComment: This is a good portrait. I like the colours (very natural). For me, however, there is little information about the subject's environment. I feel for this type of photo in this challenge, the environment should explain who the person is, rather than the title telling. But still, a very good portrait (to me)! |
