Since the sting is the vital part it would have been better to see it in focus. Also, the legs look very stiff and straight and therefore as if the scorpion is dead. It might also have been good to put the persons's face out of focus in order to focus attention on the scorpion. Good famous last words, though.6

I like the perpective on this, even though horses' faces have been flogged to death. Most of my living has been from horses directly or indirectly, so I am still a sucker for them! The only bad point for me is the front hooves being cut off. Good points include the soft yellow light on the hind legs complementing the same light in the distant trees and the brilliant way that the whispy clouds are almost extensions of the pony's shaggy mane and forelock.

That face is so fantastic and expressive, and I think you should have cropped accordingly to give it maximum show. The body and item under her left arm take my attention away to the detriment of the picture.7
