Day 7 Bee Balm & Pestby annigComment: Great detail. This becomes elegant in B&W.
Japanese beetle traps are very effective. Or a tub of water with 1/4" of oil on top that you can drop the bugs into. Then at least you don't have smashed bugs to deal with. |

Achene Observationby lynnmarieComment: This is wonderful. I like that you can see the little threads that make up the "fabric" of the "parachutes"
(Did I mention that I LOVE my lens?)
I think I love your lens, too! |

Day-7-Tentacles-IMG_0114.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Beautiful spikey thing! I like the delicate white green colors, wish you had given it a little more room at the bottom. I would like to see the red stem thing resolve one way or the other. |

Poised for Flightby ElaineComment: oh yes!
This is magic. Look at all the webbed stuff in there, and you can see every little thread. Beautiful. |

Ah, Little Grasshopper!by MaryOComment: The shallow DOF creates a whole landscape for the bug. I like how the crispness of the focused part drifts into the BG. I'm not a border fan and this one doesn't work for me. |

Purple Prairie Cloverby lynnmarieComment: Great colors.
The repeat of the orange from the pollen in the bokeh from the grass really makes the shot for me. I like the horizontal stripiness of the flowers.
Isn't it funny how some long spiked flowers bloom from the top down and some from the bottom up. |
