This is a bit dull on the whole. It needs more light on the girl to make it better.

I think some people are going to tell you the bright rocks are distracting, but I won't. I don't mind the contrast between the front and the back. I love the colors in this picture.

Great idea for a picture. However the fire just doesn't look real. Even though it probably is, the way it is processed makes it look not really like fire (like it's photoshopped in kind of). Part of that is the lack of color. For me it doesn't work very well.

Head And Shoulders above the Horizon( The Black Spot Is Bird)
by BrianR

Comment:
The unfortunate thing on this site is that you have to mention the bird in the title of the photo (people won't give you the benefit of the doubt). For me the bird is so minor that I would never (or almost never) notice it, but once it is mentioned in the title it becomes distracting. What I'm saying is it shouldn't be in the title.
It is an interesting photo otherwise. I don't often agree with black & white, but I do think it was well used here. Rule of thirds draws your eyes to the woman very well.

You sure those lines are even, I'm thinking DNMC...
...or not. This isn't the most exciting picture in the world (just a pot), but I'm going to give you a higher score for the title and for the bold statement. The sets of lines are actually fairly interesting in a way.

The shot is grainy and a bit unclear, but the emotion captured on the father's face is priceless. I like it.

This is a great picture. I'm guessing this took a bit of setup? The low light and black background are very cool. It's almost too clear however for the movie (neither picture that you are imitating is a very clear picture), but that's okay.

I think people will mark this down because it isn't clear, but I think that's what you were trying to do and it actually helps this picture more than being crisp would. Honestly this almost looks like a duplicate of the movie poster (although I don't think this ever was actually in the movie, it doesn't matter). Good job on the hazy yellow light.

First off, I like this picture. I like the look of the walls and pipes and it is sharp. On the down side, one minor detail I don't like is how the heads overlap. As an owner of a copy of Resevoir Dogs I would have loved to see the radio in this picture just to convey the music part of the scene.
