This is interesting. I like what you were going for. Some small problems for me, though, the building in the backround is more of a distraction than anything. That probably couldn't be fixed though so that's hardly your fault. Maybe a different time of day could have helped a bit, too. I find myself wishing the sky divers were either less shadowed, or had less reflection.
Nice perspective though, which is the name of the challenge, so I commend you on that. Very nice placement, gives a feeling of motion like they are zipping past. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Another great highway photo. I love the feeling of adventure this photo creates. The road goes down and ends going downhill with a dark green possibly forested area ahead, probably dipping into a bit of a valley. Dark, mysterious mountains in the distance, with a hint of light in the sky past them. To the left we have some rocks or maybe even ruins of some kind on the top of a hill. I can't help but wonder what it'd look like up there.
The colours in this photo work wonderfully together to create mood and ambience. Very nice shot. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Interesting use of lines. I like the effect created. Some small improvements I can suggest, taking the photo from a bit lower perspective, and shooting earlier or later in the day. With so many lines here there could have been some fantastic shadows to play with. The colours seem a bit washed out, perhaps it was overcast that day. I like the dash of colour in the corner with the grass. Overall very nice. I might have like it shifted just a little to the right, to cut off the leftmost track more, and showing more of the highest, most right track a bit more. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Another great photo. I really love the overall feel of this photo, it's almost post-apocalyptic in feeling. Desolate, no one in sight, the rocks and such on the right in the foreground look like rubble.
I didn't know quite where to deduct a point here, but the saturation seems a bit rich to me, so I took it from lighting and I couldn't justify to myself taking it from aesthetics. It's only right in the foreground, the stones and dirt and such seem too saturated. I quite like it that way, but thought I should mention it.
I love the hazy look in the distance. I see a lot of photos where they try to fix the haze, but I think this looks so much better. It creates a real mood and feeling of everything being infinitely out of reach. I also like the way the road is portrayed, I'm glad you took this where you did rather than further ahead. Like you just went over a hill, creating a feeling of hope as though there will be something in the distance, but no, there's nothing. Just more road, and nothing but rock as far as the eye can see.
I think there might be a town of some kind in the distance I can sort of see, but overall if doesn't affect it. Very nice shot. |

Man, lots of fantastic photos in this challenge. Seems like a lot of focus on interesting light.
This is a nice take on the usual "photo of a road" picture and on the usual "beautiful sunset" picture.
The sky is particularily interesting to me as it almost gives a visual of "good and evil" with the left and right sides. The left is brighter pastels, almost whimsical, while the right is darker, richer, almost forboding. This is further accentuated by the fields on each side. On the left appears to be a meadow, open and friendly, while the right appears to be some kind of crop, tightly planted, thick, and tall. The texture in the clouds is quite fantastic as well, right in the middle at the top, very chaotic but beautiful, as though each side is fighting for control.
The only improvement for me would be focus. The horizon is nice and dark, but I wish it were a little sharper. That might be nitpicking, though. I also might have liked the field to the left to be a little sharper, but I am guessing the wind was blowing, you could have been using a low ISO, slow(ish) shutterspeed and possible a high aperture.
Looks like some noise along the horizon as well but it's hard to notice and might just be my eyes playing tricks on me. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Pretty cool shot. I like the contrast not only between the dark metal bars and shadows against the bright sky, but also the contrast in the hard, drigid lines of the metal, against the warbly wobbly lines from the shadows. This might have been a good entry for "Lines II" as well.
I think there's a good chance someone might find the seagull distracting, but I don't. I think it adds a little life to the photo (not that it needs it, the play with lines/shadows creates life as is). The seagull adds a little for me, but it also detracted from the focus score. If the seagull were a little sharper I would have given a perfect score for focus.
Just as a note, if I didn't use my score table, I probably would have rated this a 9 or a 10. So my initial reaction is that it's perfect. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

The perspective is interesting, but the photo seems overly grainy, probably due to a high ISO. The lighting was okay but could have been more interesting or moody. The focus was okay, but the label is kind of distracting on the face of the bottle. I might like the lighting better if the bottle casted a longer shadow in the back. Not bad overall. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

I really like this photo. The lighting is perfect. Moody and interesting, casting shadows in all the right places. Taken probably mid day? I like how outside, it's extremely bright, and some of that light is spilling through on the reflection on the metal about 1/4 of the way down. My eye is drawn initially to the opening at the top, and led down the escalator to the very bottom. Very effective use of perspective to create motion in a somewhat stationary object. (The stairs move, but we can't see them, but movement is implied anyways). | Photographer found comment helpful. |

I like this photo. The use of some filters could have helped make the shadows "pop" out more. Along the railing to the left, there's a lot of interesting lines going on with the shadows. Those shadows could have been even more interesting if they were in higher contrast. There is a little bit of blown out exposure on the wall below the right rail, but it doesn't detract too much. I am guessing the sun was pretty high in the sky at this point. I'd like to see this same photo shot later or earlier in the day, too. Lots of lines and objects to create interesting shadows.
The only other minor detractor I think is seeing the people through the doors. You might have been purposely trying for this, however. It's just my personal preference, though. Good job! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
