Moonlight Stroll by hotpastaComment: Awesome! The blue tones and foggy appearance of the water from the long exposure are great. :D |

The Firedanceby BigKComment: AWESOME! :) The exposure is spot-on, and I love the fact that the embers are so thin. Excellent use of a very small aperture. :D |

Orion Archesby moonwellComment: Sweet!!! The balance between the lit foreground, the colors of the bridge, and the sky is awesome. If you ask me, this needs to be in the top 5. An incredible shot, and without using the Northern Lights... :) |

Mineral de nuestra señora de la Candelaria.by shoko-valensiComment: The lower part of the frame is WAY too dark. The sky looks like it may have made for a good potential sunset, but this shot doesn't say "night" to me. That very well could be the moon behind the hill, but it isn't obvious to me. |

Night Riderby Fairfield20Comment: Though this shot is technically taken at night, it really lacks interest. It looks to me like a snapshot taken with a flash. One thing I can tell you is that voters are BRUTAL if they encounter photos that look like snapshots. Try and use a creative composition and subject matter in the future. Just my $.02. :) |

Power Outageby MuppetComment: The glow from a candle can make a great light source, but you have to be REALLY careful not to include the candle or you get blown-out highlights (like you have here). Also, I find that it helps to reduce the color temperature closer to a Tungsten white balance to cool down the warm tones slightly. |
