nice try but this does not really capture the idea behind the escher hands, where the hands actually create one another and so creates the visual dichotomy
i think if you shot this with a lot less light and used black velvet to make the hands disappear at the appropriate lengths, it would work much better

not sure how you did this, but i do think that the hand is a bit too bright
if you exposed for the "exploding atom" instead, it certainly would have popped out more and made this a really high impact image

well done on the concept !

(please try this again, i would love to hear how you've done this and see a result with less exposure on the hand)
