The Gathering by karenkComment: I love this one. It's perfect from a technical point of view and the composition is great. But most of all, it made me smile :) |

Hunted Hunter II by lcamargoComment: Thank you everybody for your votes and special thanks to all the people that left comments.
The structure in the photo is the observation tower of the Lonsdale Quay Hotel in North Vancouver, BC. This scene is one that I have enjoyed many times when walking back home after work. The tower is accessible to the public and it is not uncommon to find a photographer on it since this is one of the best spots to photograph the northern skyline of downtown Vancouver. This photo was taking facing west. Vancouver̢۪s harbour and downtown are south of were the camera was standing.
The photo is not posed, so I took many shots waiting on each of them for the rotating sign to face my way. The photographer is hidden in some of the shots but because he is a silhouette, it is impossible to recognize him as a person. It all went down to a choice between showing an easy and an impossible to see person. Message edited by author 2003-02-17 09:36:01. |

He's spotted me, can you?by davehugeComment: This is a very good shot that fully meets the challenge. Waldo is not obvious but once you find him is impossible to miss. |

Blue Comet Bluesby lcamargoComment: Thanks everybody for you comments. To be honest, I haven't heard the song either ;). I took the photo first and searched for a title later.
To make the photo I wrapped a pen light with a black fabric so that only the lighted tip was showing, then I placed a blue glass marble on top of the tip. I placed my camera in a tripod and set a exposure of 15 seconds. I exposed the ball for 5 seconds to create the head of the comet and then slowly started panning to create the tail. |
