Canyon Viewby jpochardComment: Well done on capturing detail in the mountains and the sky. I like the layering of the foreground branches, middleground mountains and the background mountains. |

It's a rain spider, here is a picture of the entire spider I took using the regular macro function on my camera.

The reversed lens macro setup has fixed focus close to the front the the lens (back element of the reversed lens), so the lens is very much in the face of your subject.

It's about the size of the palm of your hand, so you would a large number of them. |

Double Strikeby SamDoe1Comment: This is an awesome lightning shot, well done. You captured the strike perfectly. It is also nice to see detail in the clouds. I like how the cold colours in the sky contrast with the warm colours in the foreground. You should consider cloning out the leaves on the right of the image. |

Mr Rebelby NichtComment: Nice shot, good concept.
The B&W conversion was done well, focus looks to be spot on.
Just nitpicking, but being further away from the background would have helped to throw it a bit out of focus, as it is a bit distracting. That would also get rid of the shadow cast on the background by the subject. The hightlights in the background also seem to be a bit blown out. Maybe use a darker background with a more suble texture?
I would have gone with a slightly more relaxed crop, do that the hats don't run into the edge of the frame. Would have been better if the left eye was either visible or completely hidden, it looks a bit strange being half there. |
