Under the Overpassby djharrisComment: Thank you, everyone, for your comments. The foreground pillar was part of what I liked in the shot, juxtaposed with an otherwise symmetrical shot (the overhead beams, especially), as a typical version of the shot would be just the symmetry and nothing else.
However, I also would have liked a more symmetrical shot, just to at least have taken it. Maybe I should get some water boots, but it would still be a risky shot...the water is just a large puddle on caliche mud which is about as slick as oil and likes to suck shoes off and will bog down the most aggressive 4x4. Added to that, plenty of pigeons live overhead there and, well, the water stinks of their droppings.
I'm not sure the puddle would be as drammatic if I moved closer in, but I'll most likely get some mud/water boots anyway ;) |

Physical and Spiritual: Both Mysteriesby djharrisComment: Thanks for the comments and votes everyone! This was about as close as I could get to the parked Air Force One so I framed it within the confines of the cemetary. The "mystery" in my title was referring to the mystery of what's inside Air Force One, not just the generic plane itself. I do know that AF1 has about 4,000 square feet of "living space" but beyond that, it's a mystery. Of course the mystery was also referring to the unknown beyond the grave. Maybe a better title would have been "Air Force One Beyond The Grave" ??? |

Untouchedby ralfwComment: Wow, looks almost 3D. In fact, my eyes think they are seeing the closest water moving! |

Bullseyeby jodiecostonComment: Well done, would love to know the secret to the shot (I'm guessing the liquid in the glass is gelatin that went solid while the glass was at a different angle). |
