yellow clusterby collie65Comment: is image is way too low resolution, horrible lighting and complete lack of contrast, if you were to attempt the image in the future, i would suggest doing the following:
find a center of interest, move in on the actualy flower cluster, and focus on one flower
make sure you save it at a high enough resolution that you don't loose detail and get the jpg, edge noise
pay attention to your lighting, side lighting probably would have worked best
in post-editing, boost your yellow saturation, and then add a bit of contrast |

A Balanced Mealby LN13Comment: i don't know what editing software you are using, but i would suggest if you are using photoshop to go into the hue/saturation adjustments, select "yellow" from the drop down menu and then slide the saturation up a bit, i think it would have helped this image tremendously, i like it as is, but would give it the extra punch |

Daffodils in Blackby DimyComment: the halo around these flowers hurts my eyes, you have gone overboard with the editing, and the actual flowers have very little contrast. next time pic your background a little better so that you aren't forced to do a bit of cloning/painting/burning to get the desired image. adjust your levels (if you have photoshop) or contrast with any other software, to get more detail in the image. |
