i don't understand the point of this image, the vase and the package of napkins don't entirely go together, and it is slightly underexposed, i am not impressed

no impact, and no distinguished point of interest, i know the tree in the middle is centered, but all the other trees, which are underexposed, distract from it, and nothing about the center tree draws my eye in

okay okay, why don't i like this image? my eye keeps dancing over the entire thing, and i can't rest on the entire image, i think the black on the left, i am assuming some sort of rock formation, is why i don't like it

having more depth of field would have saved this image, because you chose such a wide aperature, probably with a macro lense-to get the detail in the icicle, you lost detail in the tongue, and that, to me, is essential

this picture would be mazing with a intense clouds, because you had to slow the shutter speed to blur the water, you lost all detail in the sky, and thus lost this competition, using a grad grey filter or grad polorizer filter could have saved this image, go back some time right after a storm/or right before and look for intensity in the sky, capture both the flowing serenity of the water and the dark intensity of the sky and you have a winning photograph

so flat, no contrast, please if you are going to do black and white get some true black and/or white tones not this muddy grey!
