I like the lighting and shadows, but the surface that the top is spinning on should be in focus. The blur of the top is interesting.

Good Job. I was almost going to do a shot with this in mind. I don't have any children or know anyone well enough to ask to borrow their's, so I neglected to pursue it. My inspiration was from this image by Gary Friedman.

From talking with Gary, I understand it is a very difficult shot to nail. He had to do about thirty takes, and almost threw-up.

A definite split - either they get it or they don't. I get frustrated sometimes with the subjectivity of it all. In my perspective, photography is, above all, art. If others get it, good. If they don't, they should at least respect the artists intention.

Technically, this is a wonderful image. It has mystery and intrigue as well as beauty and visual appeal. I didn't vote in this challenge but if I had, I would have given it a 7 or so.
