Imaginative approach to the challenge (so I would NOT say DNMC), but the shot itself isn't match the creativity of the idea. A bit messy/untidy to my mind.

Beyond the gate?

Beyond the gate?

Comment:
Tough scene to shoot, very high contrast - the blown-out highlights on the wall at the left are very distracting. Also a little bland, no obvious centre of interest - perhaps zooming to lose some of the wall and emphasise the gate a bit more would help?

Comment:
Depth of field is just a little too narrow - focuses attention on the lemon more than the oysters. I wouldn't suggest wide enough to have the whole plate in focus, but a bit wider than you have would be good (around half to one f-stop).

Nice photo, capturing the process of cooking... it looks natural, not posed, which is excellent (the effort in her face). The shadow from the flash is a bit distracting though, if you'd diffused that a little then it would be even better.

Composition is ok, but the food itself (however good it might taste) just doesn't look photographically attractive to me.

I'm sure it tastes good, but it doesn't look particularly photogenic to me, a bit too lumpy and goopy, and nothing special in the composition to attract attention. No problems technically though.

I like this photo a lot, but I think it's more about colour than just shape.

Very cluttered photo, with too many distractions and not a strong emphasis on circles or any other shapes.

Interesting idea, but a few too many distractions in the image. Have you considered cropping the top quarter and converting into a monochrome image?

Image contains some pixelation - maybe too much compression or taken on too small resolution?

Even more importantly, the centre of interest (the ball) is out of focus while some of the leaves in the right of the photo are in focus - so there is competition for attention. If the ball was inside your minimum focus length, then maybe you should have moved back a bit and then cropped? Or alternatively, deliberately made the entire image out of focus (e.g. by focusing on infinity) which would make the leaves very blurry and let the coloured shapes dominate?
