I am SO happy to see this picture here in the top ten. Starlings are absolutely amazing birds. Gorgeous AND intelligent. I own two as pets and they just are wonderful animals. They talk and everything!!

Here in upstateNY (aka farm country) people view them in much the same way that people view pigeons in other parts of the country- ugly pests. So glad to see this beautiful picture get so well recieved :)

So if the opposite had happened.... someone awoke at 4 am and took a picture indoors that had no illusion of any time of day, but then told you that it was most definitely taken at 4 am and thus fits the challenege...then that would have been ok?
