Well it is certainly high contrast but I think there isn't much going for this shot. The contrast is too much, it seems out of focus to my eye, and what sort of celebrations are expressed here? It's just a single candle.

Pretty soft colors, though I think the sepia reduces the impact of a high contrast feel. I think backing the scarf off her her eyes just a bit would have helped too, her face seems too crowded in to me.
