Thanks all for the positive comments. I was surprised at the final score. I subsequently discovered that I had my white-balance set to tungsten, which might account for the colours.

Indeed. At what shutter speed? I love the shards in the bulb. Shame about the over-exposed / blown sections.

What a perfect setting. Looking at this I keep thinking that the composition should be better. I'm sure one of the top chaps could help here.

Very haunting. Personally I think the impact would have been greater without the crushed can and baubbles. Still very evokative.

Incredible take. How many retakes did you do?

Not really 'already broken', but I won't let that influence my vote.

A very good idea. I think that close-ips such as this need to be very sharp. This is so almost a great shot but falls short because of the softness (IMO).

I struggle with this shot. i think it's because of the red saturation on the bricks - just too unnatural to me. It draws away from the flowers.

Beautiful take. Can't tell if anything really is broken, but love the picture anyway.

An opportunity to switch to Canon? It'll cheer you up.

Good take on the subject - broken camera; and broken heart... I think this could have been more effective with a plain background and lower POV.
