Clark Foam by gliphixComment: This is a phenomenal photo, but isn't surfing really a sport more than a form of transportation? |

Sailby gardarfComment: This just so cries out for a little post processing fix. My first thought on seeing it pop up was, "This one's a winner!" Then I saw the ocean flowing off to the right where the horizon is tilted. A simple little rotation and this is easily a 7. |

Hot horsesby snafflesComment: The DOF here is good with everything in acceptable focus and the shutter speed was sufficient to stop the horse's tail. Unfortunately, the noon sun has created some very harsh lighting. If this had to be shot at this time of day using some flash for a fill light to brighten the dark shadows would have been a good idea. Even better would have been to take this earlier or later in the day when the light is a little more flattering. Compositionally, I like the positioning of the three horses, but a wider angle lens was really needed to prevent cutting body parts off the two flanking horses. |

Shanna Flips Over Gymnastics!by 777STANComment: Let me preface by saying that I know the lighting in these gymnastics clubs tends to be uniformly horrible and beyond the photographer's control. That said, the composition with her rolling towards the tube is nice, but the image just looks too overprocessed because of all the noise reduction applied either in camera or in post proccessing. The apparent high ISO has also resulted in a very desaturated image with odd colors. Since the colors are already so muted, I'd suggest trying this as a B&W and maybe even leaving some of the noise to simulate film grain and allow some detail to be retained. Finally, some of the bright white shirts in the background should be darkened by burning them in in post processing to keep them from distracting the eye from the main subject of the gymnast. |

Garden Thiefby DianaComment: The composition is good with the deer running into the frame and I always like the blur effect associated with panning but the deer is just not sharp enough. |

Turning on the Waterby Shy ClickerComment: I actually rather like the composition and colors here, but the water from the pipes really doesn't serve any purpose in the photo, other than to fit it into the challenge. Maybe it would add more if you froze it as it hit the pool and splashed instead of in mid air? |

Family Funby trailwalkerComment: Composition is good, but the colors seem rather flat and highlights are blown out. The bright white invariably draws the eye away from the main subject, in this case, the people in the raft. |

Caught and Released Manarayby KelliComment: Motion is stopped, but it's hard to tell what it is without the title, and the amputated foot in the upper right just confuses the composition further. |
