Leaf Frostingby slackboyComment: This picture looks really nice. You do have to look really hard, though, to see that you used a narrow DOF. I would have really liked to see more of the out of focus areas on the top and the bottom. |

Sweet Toothby DianaComment: The shallow DOF does not show all that well because there is no detail in the front candy corn to make it look really sharp. The picture also looks a little oversharpened to me (where the white part of the front candy corn blends into the orange of the background). Other than that it is a nice image. I like the composition, especially the curved setup in the back. |

Just Outta' Reachby jadkpicsComment: I really like the idea of the picture. The b&w adds to its effect, in my opinion, as the colors of the cell phone display might have been a little distracting. The blurred hand also adds nicely to the "just a second too late" character of the picture.
One thing I don't like is the backgtround, it just doesn't have enough contrast with the hand and the phone; on the right side, you can't really tell where the phone ends and the background begins. This might also be due to the lighting which makes the phone cast a distinct shadow.
I also find it distracting a little distracting how the light produces a lot of glare on the phone.
Don't get me wrong though, I really like this picture! |

Piazza di Spagna alive - Romeby srugoloComment: Nice photo! How long was the shutter speed? Did you have to use a ND filter? It might have looked even busier if you left the shutter open a little longer. |
