Street Musicianby samanwarComment: Interesting person you've captured. I think with as much pixels as cameras have now days, that if you had cropped out from his waist down, and had him fill the frame we'd have seen a strong composition that keeps the eye from wandering away from him. His mic stand pull my eye right down to the sidewalk and out the frame as it is cropped now. Scratch that... if you do that, you lose a sense of where he's at. Not sure, but I feel there's a stronger crop, but messing with my browser size and moving him around, I'll be danged if I can find it. Maybe this is as good as this image gets. |

Sunday Roast... Or Not?by TomCubisComment: Cropping is your friend. The right part of this image doesn't add to the overall feel of the shot. The writing on the wall to the right pulls my eye away from the man at the table. A square crop that removes that will keep me looking at him and the people behind him and engage me more. Toning and exposure are good. |

Crowded Crosswalkby EssAreDubyaComment: Other than the man in the suit being a little interesting, I feel you've capture a crowded crosswalk, but failed to engage your viewer in the shot. It records a moment in time, but I don't feel it does much more than that. |

Urban Artist by LVicariComment: Recropping with my browser so that the man is on frame right instead of the middle, to me, makes a stronger shot. I feel the space on the right doesn't add to the shot. Post processing and colors are very fitting for your image. |

For many people, but not for everyone... by WindtaleComment: Your post processing really pushes this shot into the top. Not only the vignette but the tones between the two areas. The dog, the people at the tables, and the man on the bench. First 10 vote from me. Nice work, very nice. |

Donutsby suemackComment: I'll take a dozen :-)
I like the toning here. Looks like how Setzler tones his shots as well as the composition and engaging the subject into the shot. Very well done. |

Market Dayby JeniYComment: Everyone seems happy. Two things I may have done... tried to capture a little bid of road between the edge of frame and her shopping cart wheels, and then crop a bit of the top off so my eye doesn't wander up there. Crop out unneeded stuff, it only pulls the viewers eyes away from your main subject. |

Blocking Bricksby IraklisComment: Shame no one is looking at the camera. With everyone's back to me I have a hard time engaging myself into the image. I see the brick and everything, but even as a documentary shot, it falls short. Eyes, faces, expressions, will help your viewer connect. Wait for something to happen that pulls you in, and then you'll pull the viewer in as well. |

A quiet momentby IreneMComment: Well composed and processed. Engaging expression from the man. A lot of textures and shades throughout to keep me interested. I just wish there was something on one of the steps on the right, just something whimsical... I know you can't go adding something like that in street photography, but it would be just the pop this image needs to elevate it to spectacular status. |

waitin' for pub o'clockby MichaelCComment: Crop, crop, crop. Seems to be my major comment I leave people. This guy is interesting, and you want the viewer to keep their eyes on him, but with the white space on frame left, my eyes are drawn to the upper left. Crop a little off the left, put a light vignette around the edges and pull the viewer back into the middle with the man... just to prove it, took me all the way until now to even notice the white pursed woman in the window behind him. Nice subject, just needs some polish. |
