I just wanted to say that I am shocked that this did not place higher and believe it is because so many thought it did not meet the challenge when clearly it did - in fact it was one of the most original "ground up" ideas in the challenge. A bouquet of flowers. They were just in the ground...and now they are up! I really wish this had done better - it deserved top 20 at least - in my opinion. :)

Purple sky - UGH! Yes, the sky was meant to be purple. Not sure if I regret that now or not. I had sooo many different sky versions with this image and ultimately decided on purple because: 1) My little girl loved the purple sky version the most and since I had her input on the title I felt I'd let her help with the color variation also - especially since I was becoming so indecisive about it. 2) The images that I had played with and the different color variations all had a lot of noise in the sky - especially around the pillars themselves, it seemed to me that I had done something (have no idea what) but there seemed to be the least amount of noise in the purple version. 3) And this is strange I know - but I associate the color purple with royalty or regalness, kings & queens etc. - which live in a "castle".

Thanks again for all the comments - I want to learn as much as I can and all comments (good and bad) are very welcome so I can get an idea of what people really think. Peace - Shan :)

Well! I did not want to place in the bottom 10 - that was my goal - so I am very pleased! Thanks to everyone for all of the comments - it's great to get feedback in any form!

This is a photo of my little girl and she did have great fun that afternoon as Mama was taking a zillion pics of her.

My only gripe is the nine 1's. Don't get me wrong - personally I would have voted this a 4 at most because it is very snapshottish, the coloring is a little weird and all - and I don't believe it deserves the 8's, 9's or 10's either - I assume these were people trying for the brown. But nine 1's? It clearly met the challenge, and it was in focus - therefore I feel it deserves at least a 2 in the very least! Geesh!
