Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
oh dear .. I really do dislike when the horizon is crooked ... it takes a minor rotation to correct and make an ok shot a good one.

Composition:
To my understanding I think that this would have worked well if you had the horizon on the horizontal thirds line and then the sky .. not too sure .. but may help a little.

Subject:
Doe it meet the challenge, if you had a cyclist in the shot enjoying the view yes. If you don't the picture does not stand on its own without the title.

Technical (Colour and light):
Colours are good and lighting is great. The border is perhaps a little heavy.

To grow its vote?:
Include a cyclist .. and think about how the picture really represents what you want it to.

Summary:
Godo work and a lovely picture.

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
Third entry and already getting over 6 and top 20 .. I think that gives you bragging rights.

Composition:
this works great for this action shot.

Subject:
Really does meet the challenge, glad you mentioned that it worked out as well.

Technical (Colour and light):
lighting is great, the sharpening just a minor overdone, but still quite good.

To grow its vote?:
This is a great shot .. I am not sure how to improve from what you have .. but you have worked it well.

Summary:
Great work .. you will soon be one of those forces to be reckoned with.

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
I think that this is, as you suggest, a stretch for success.

Composition:
The lines o the pond draw the eyes into the picture .. which is great.

Subject:
Well it meets the challenge in that it is good each day to wake .. but the picture does not hold its own without the title .. therefore the DNMC's i nthe voting are probably valid.

Technical (Colour and light):
I like this processing .. yes its over the top, but it really works well for this image.

To grow its vote?:
Meets the challenge .. that is a good start .. if taking something out of the box the image needs to stand on its own.

Summary:
Good shooting, you have a good eye .. keep using it.

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
Top ten .. congrats, well done and all that ... now a few comments. first impression is this is gritty and realistic.

Composition:
I really like this and feel that you have worked things through to bring the best from this shot.

Subject:
You met the challenge and did so extremely well.

Technical (Colour and light):
This is the issues part. I think that a little less post processing and use of neat image and you would have really challenged for the blue. That is the only issue with this picture and i think that would have lost you minor but valuable points.

To grow its vote?:
As above ... but really you did fantastic.

Summary:
Great job, congrats.

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
Leading lines are good .. but this is really a very centred image with the break in the stems being the focus.

Composition:
Centred ... i think the best thing is to goodle rule of thirds .. and see what is said about it ... I normally have a URL but am not at home at the moment ... but it is a really good concept and really helps when setting up shots.

Subject:
It meets the challenge but i am like the other commentors .. where is the flower which is falling .. I would dearly like this in the image to complete it. You don't always have to thave the whole image there but in this case it really does feel like it is missing.

Technical (Colour and light):
The colours are lovely, and the lighting is good, but the focus feels a little soft.

To grow its vote?:
Include the crux of the image ... take a look at composition and how you can work to improve it.

Summary:
Good shot ... keep it up.
