The shallowness of the DOF here makes this image too soft .. I really would have liked the whole box in focus.

oh i get it .. but the picture is out of focus .. and small .. always try to maximise the size of the shot (longest side 640) to maximise the impact created.

The fact that the carpet seems to need vacuming .. does not seem to help e.g. i can see dust and hairs .... always pays to have a nice clean workspace, unless it is intentional.
