this is one of the best pet shots i've seen. The texture of dog's hair is similar to the grass texture. The overall composition is excellent and the unproportionate head compare to it's leg really makes this work. The tones and details are right on!! My only little gripe is the cut-off right eye; I would have cropped a tid lower to eliminate that eye. I bet this great in B&W also. BRAVO!! 10

Thank you for all your inspiring comments. I was clearly surprised at all the positive feedback. I was afraid that it was too dark to be effective, but I wanted to add a mystiqueness to it. My friend was the perfect subject and his patience paid off.
