Untitledby Cehrli20Comment: The negative effect here did not work for me; I would have much preferred to see the non-negative version. |

Fenced INby psquared40Comment: The lack of sharp focus on the foreground fence leaves me thinking it's not the subject of the photo (but it was the subject of the challenge); the sky is also a bit too bright for me, and some contrast/brightness/saturation post-processing seems called for here. |

Nature's Glowby bigfellaComment: Not relevant enough to the challenge for me, though it has some very nice qualities, and the lighting is quite interesting (in a good way). |

Sunrise at the Trackby KYScarlettComment: Photos with the main subject(s) in silhouette often do not work for me, and this fits in that category. It's a personal preference, and here the silhouette is light enough to allow some whites to show, but not much more. That the horse is behind the fence is very difficult to pick up, but seems relevant to the subject matter (and the challenge). |

Wrought ironby snafflesComment: The focus is off here, and so the shot doesn't work for me. I might have cropped out the left side a bit, so that there was only one panel before the sunlit panel (but I would have to see that to know for sure). |

THE FENCE LINE to 'THE SILENT SPRING'by coolblueComment: There is far too much going on here for me, and the colors don't help matters (too many, too saturated, with whites too white). I found it confusing and difficult to take in. Taken down a few notches and it might have worked for me, but as it is, it's a bit too much. |

double "D"fenceby SimpaComment: Sorry, I didn't buy the reinterpretation of the fence here, though the image itself is technically okay (though the subject matter, challenge topic aside, doesn't grab me). |

Girl through latterby vichComment: This photo did very little for me in terms of the challenge (fence?); as a portrait, it's too center focused and the model isn't sufficiently framed by the out-of-focus foreground for it to work. |

Bangkok - around the 40th floorby CordeliaComment: Interesting image, but I'm not sure what it's of, why it's so tilted, where the fence is, or what was intended. Without at least some of this, it just didn't work for me. |

Aussie Christmasby ZygoteComment: Nothing grabbed me about this subject matter; for "ordinary" subjects I'm looking for something extraordinary in their treatment (a new perspective, seeing them in a way I have not before). I just didn't get that here. |
