Salt in Motionby jstrongComment: Should be "salt frozen in motion" - with the opposing challenge being "stopped motion," this would have been a better entry over there. No motion blur here at all. |

San Jose Grand Prix - Champ Practiceby krypt0Comment: Bravo - these can be hard to grab. I've shot a lot of IndyCar racing and recently some American Le Mans series. Nice capture with the full car in focus during motion panning. |

Acadiana by a noseby CVetteComment: Now we're getting somewhere. I've just rated about 10% of the photos and a lot of my comments have been "uh, this is frozen motion..." This is good motion blur - fence moving by quickly, horses legs in action - I would have liked a little less harsh light to the horses weren't in so much shadow but not much you can do about that. Good capture. |

Tommy Haas in Motionby ZippyComment: Good picture but the subject isn't in motion - he's frozen. No racquet blur, no ball, just stopped motion. |

You are cleared for take-offby TandangoComment: The title gets a chuckle. A little too "frozen action" for my taste - would have liked a little more action blur but not a bad shot. |

Jumpby ergatesComment: So here is the one thing about action shots - something has to be in focus somewhere. Whether its the subject in focus and the background is blurred from motion panning or the background is sharp but the subject is motion blurred - just something. Yes, there is action here, but it's just all blurry. |

Stringsby CyBri2000Comment: Unique take on the challenge. Good that it shows the vibration but a little over saturated. |

Showin Offby lemondsterComment: So I've seen a few pictures like this now - things are are action but they'd be a better fit for "stopped motion" challenge. The action here is well frozen and the blur in the background looks like DOF and not motion panning. I would have liked this picture a lot better if the spokes were blurred, the crowd was blurred from panning, and it wasn't so "frozen" |
