Fading Stormby PugPopComment: Thanks for the wonderful comments. Although I've had this member account for years, this was my first (real) entry. And I am patting myself on the back for a strong finish.
There was a lot of comments on the lack of contrast. Because this was a basic editing challenge, I had to get the church perfectly right, otherwise it would of been a failure. I believed I achieved that while still giving the overall shot a feeling of foreboding.

Baby Blue(s)by GrayEllaComment: I really don't think this reflects the sprite of the challenge, everyone has two eyes. As a portrait, try getting about 10 or 12 feet from the subject and go with a f/8 (or so) setting. That would get most of the facial features in focus. Very important; focus on the eyes. That will make or break your portrait. Also use unsharp mask to sharpen the result. |
