composition hurts this picture. when you have something so sparse that the central focus is blatantly obvious (such as with this picture) you have to pay very close attention to how the shot was setup. now, that might be a little hard while trying to catch a firework on film, but still. a different crop would be helpful, say placing the explosion of to the left or the right. other than that it's a fantastic (and probably pretty lucky) shot. the colors are really beautiful. 7

the moon is actually a little distracting. mostly because it doesn't appear round for some reason. this would have been a better shot under a full moon, but you didn't have any control over that. the silhouette of the tree branch is insteresting, and thankfully very simple. 7
