Strange Puzzle

I think I am seeing the picture upside down. If this is an accident then the image correctly oriented is nice, but I would like to see a closer image of the puzzle lines. If the image was intended to be oriented this way, then I think that the disorientation produced by the angle doesn'e fit the subject of the puzzle. A darker, possibly sinister image on the puzzle would have worked well with the unusual angle.

I like the contrasting colors here. The red area on the right helps to offest the drops on the leaf and keeps my attention in the picture. The light edge of the leaf also makes an interesting divider, further creating visual contrast between the two sides.

I like the texture and the composition. But I do think I'd like to see more color in the leaf.
